Drill Overview

The gymnast jumps to the bar and performs a glide swing, snapping ankles to bar at the end of the glide, focusing on three key positions:

  1. Catch the bar in a hollow body with shoulders at bar height and feet pointed down.
  2. Extend fully at the front of the swing without arching.
  3. Snap ankles up to the bar just before the hips swing back underneath bar.
